Letters Never Sent is hauntingly beautiful. David Park's discovered footlocker letters read like poetry from the front. His granddaughter did an incredible job weaving historical context around these intimate moments. I finished this in one sitting and then immediately called my own grandfather to ask about his service. Some books change you — this is one of them.
